Hitched! | St. Louis wedding photographer

Carissa & Anthony’s private wedding was simply beautiful. The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House was the most perfect, gorgeous backdrop for their small and intimate ceremony. They got married on a quiet, late Thursday afternoon, surrounded by their closest family and friends, and exchanged vows that will carry them forward for a lifetime.  It was a simple, mindful, and loving ceremony officiated by their close friend with a magical butterfly release.

I have been to the Butterfly House many times, but this was my first time photographing a wedding inside the butterfly conservatory. The tropical conservatory itself houses nearly 2,000 butterflies of 80 different species and more than 100 different tropical plants and offered the most gorgeous light, filtered through it’s biosphere like glass walls.

Congratulations Carissa & Anthony, may your life always know such abundant love.
